At its 65th annual general meeting, the Society of Cosmetic Scientists (SCS), Bedfordshire, UK, named officers and council for 2013/14. They are:

President: Barbara Brockway (IMCD UK Ltd);

Vice president: Emma Meredith (CTPA);

Hon. secretary: Ruth Borner (Lehvoss UK, Paroxite Div.);

Hon. treasurer: Judi Beerling (Organic Monitor); and

Members of council: Pauline Ayres (Azelis UK Life Sciences), Cuross Bakhtiar (Harley Street Cosmetic), Mojgan Moddaresi (Cosmetics Innovations & Technologies) and Barry Winslett (IMCD UK Ltd).

Those continuing in office are:

Immediate past president: Tony Gouch (Innospec Ltd);

Members of council:  Grace Abamba (QVC), Roger Barr (Consultant), Laura Marshall (Reading Clinical Research), Daksha Patel (Crestchem) and Andrew Postles (Hampshire Cosmetics Ltd.); and

Secretariat: Gem Bektas (secretary general) and Mel Cheekoory (administrative assistant).

Also, Susan Hurst was re-elected as honorable auditor and the assistant editor of the IJCS is Majella Lane (UCL School of Pharmacy). The SCS social secretary is Sarah Gladstone (schülke).
